GOOG down to $285

Posted over at the Yahoo stock board:

Verizon wireless 411

I see in my bill where Verizon Wireless is offering 411 service to look up Movie listings by title, show times, and theater locations; restaurant listings by cuisine, location, price, or rating; Popular searches by category such as florists, dry cleaners, etc.; stock quotes; and horoscopes. The cost for this: $1.49 per call.

GOOG offers every one of these services by text message at 46645 (googl) on your US or UK cellphone for free (okay it is just a beta). Oh wait, that's right GOOG doesn't offer the horoscope. I guess that kills it.

How many times a day do you want to pay $1.49 to call 411 if you can get it for the cost of a TXT message from GOOG? Plus with a TXT message you can file it and keep the record for future.

Buying opportunity now boys. We are going to $350. All aboard!

PS. Maybe Verizon will sue them too, like Mr. Gates. More likely they will buy advertsing.
