The Privacy Rights Clearinghouse is a nonprofit consumer education, research, and advocacy program. Our publications empower you to take action to control your personal information by providing practical tips on privacy protection.

Our Fact Sheets provide practical tips on safeguarding personal privacy. They also explain the public policy environment surrounding a variety of informational privacy issues and indicate where consumers do and do not have legal protection.
