Diary of an artist who just can't get Kylie out of her head - theage.com.au Artist Kathy Temin has been a Kylie Minogue fan for 16 years and, from 1988, has been building up an extensive, though selective, Kylie collection - interviews, magazine covers, videos, CDs, albums. In 1997 in London, when Temin put together her Some of my Favourite Things installation and included a part of her Kylie collection, Kylie began to make her way into Temin's work.

There was the installation she created at Sydney's Museum of Contemporary Art last year, put together like a teenager's bedroom and decorated with her Kylie pieces, and earlier this year, a show in Melbourne of representations of Kylie in silhouette in fused glass. Temin is organising the launch in Melbourne later this month of her book, which further examines both the Kylie "phenomenon" and "fandom".
